Personal Loan Time (personalloantime.com) is a free website that helps people manage money, use calculators and learn about personal loans. Personal Loan Time is operated by LTR Media LLC. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.
The short version
- You don’t need an account to use this site.
- The quiz and calculators run in your browser. We don’t receive your answers or the numbers you type.
- If you chat with Money Buddy, your messages are sent to our AI provider to create a reply.
- Some links are paid links. If you click one, the company on the other end may know you came from us.
- Please never share account numbers, your Social Security number or passwords anywhere on this site.
Information you give us
- Feedback form. If you send feedback, we receive what you type, plus your email address if you choose to give it. It arrives in our email inbox. We use it to improve the site and, if you asked, to reply.
- Money Buddy chat. When you send a message, we pass it, along with the recent messages in that chat and the last few items in your wins jar, to our AI provider, Anthropic, so it can write a reply. We don’t keep a copy of your chats on our server. Anthropic handles the data under its own commercial terms and privacy policy.
Information stored on your device
- Your Money Buddy chat and wins jar are saved in your own browser so they are still there when you come back. They stay on that device. Use “Start a fresh chat” or “Empty the jar” to clear them, or clear your browser’s site data.
- Cookies. We use a cookie banner so you can choose which non-essential cookies to allow. Essential cookies keep the site working and secure.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We may use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages help. It can collect things like the pages you view, your general location, your device and browser, and how you reached the site. You can say no to these cookies in our cookie banner.
- Security and limits. Like most websites, our server sees your IP address. We use it to protect the site from attacks and spam, and to limit how many Money Buddy messages one visitor can send each day. That daily count is stored in a scrambled form and cleared within a day.
Paid links
Some buttons and links on this site are paid links, marked as such. If you click one and later apply with that company, we may earn a commission. The company, or the network that tracks the link, may use cookies or similar tools to record that you came from us. What happens on their site is covered by their own privacy policy, so please read it before you apply.
